Adventure Travel is considered one the less conventional of all the diffrent ways of traveling, and in Cusco it is growing year after year. Not only do the locals benefit, but so do travelers from all over the world. There are seven strains of adventure travel in Cusco in order demand; treeking, river rafting, mountain biking, horse riding, motorbikes and Bungee Jumpig.

Mountain Climbing is numer 1 in all adventure travel, but in Cusco there doesn't exit much demand and therefore much offering fot it. The city of Huaraz is the choice of mountaineering in Cusco, but to a much smaller scale. We can safely name Cusco as the paradise for all adventuours travelers, backpackers, mystics, archaelogists and more.

The entire Cusco reging is home to many class IV and V white water rivers (and many specialized travel agencies to go on them with), many trails to hike, the best being the Inka Trail (42 km), mountain biking (with grows more every day) along trails form grade 1 to grade 6 on single track reserved for more experienced cyclists, these could easily be named as some of the best in the world. Cusco also has motorbikes, a different alternative for special trails, and for the more daring, we have paragliding, which can be practiced close to the Sacred Valley and with expert paragliding instructors.

Horseback riding through millenary ruins is another option, and for the most daring travelers of all, there is Bungee Jump only 11 km from the center of the city, and is the highest jump in America (122 mts) is form a specially constructed frame for secured safety. Bungee Jumping is only offered in the Action Valley complex (close to the tow of Poroy), where one can also do rapeilling and climb artificial rock clibimg wall.

On the other hand, Cusco is also the first step to the jungle, another adventure in itself which we will discuss on a different occasion.
